A Review of the Research on Whole-Process People's Democracy Zhang Jun, Yang Kangkang, Li Yi(48)
Abstract:The proposal of the major concept of whole-process people's democracy has triggered an upsurge of research up to now. These research results further breaks the myth of western democracy. Moreover, on the basis of summarizing the practice of socialist democratic politics with Chinese characteristics in the new era, these research began to try to construct a universal democratic theory on the basis of Chinese and Western democracy. The Report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China reveals that the whole-process people's democracy is the essential attribute of socialist democracy, as well as makes new arrangements and requirements for the development of the whole-process people's democracy. In the future, with the development of the practice of wholeprocess people's democracy, the study of whole-process people's democracy needs to be further in-depth. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the research on the view of the people in the new era, socialist democratic thought and socialist democratic political practice with Chinese characteristics in the new era, so as to accelerate the construction of the original democratic discourse system originated from Chinese practice.
