The Expression and Characteristics of the Whole-process People's Democracy from the Perspective of “Governance of China”Zhang Shuhua（36）

Abstract：“Governance of China” is an accurate summary of the achievement of Chinese political development. It reveals the universality of human political development. “Governance of China” broke the superstition of western freedom and democracy, and provided a new way for the mankind towards modernization. Chinese political development satisfies the needs of the Chinese realities, adapts to the Chinese traditions and aims at high-quality development. Upholding the Party leadership is its solid foundations, and putting the people first is its value guidance and developing force. Besides, the characteristics of Chinese political development include stability, progressiveness, sustainability, coordination and effectiveness. It shows the new philosophy of democracy, the thoughts of comprehensive development and the standpoints of global co-governance. The whole-process people's democracy, as a new summary of the Chinese political development in the new era, is the result of the Party's leading the people to develop people's democracy continuously in the periods of revolution, construction and reform. It is rooted in Chinese soil and full of various practical forms. In addition, it is the democracy that can keep pace with the times, break new grounds and form comparative advantages.
