| Summary: From the perspective of academic research and intellectual improvement of the discipline, it can be argued that academic development in political science is the essence of discipline development and the soul of the scholarship.Subjected to the variety of factors which is both internal and external, academic development of political science in China reveals the multiple unity of opposites which is associated with the overall development of political science and the whole process of political science. These relationships stipulate the direction, the contents, the area and the function of its development, which includes below: research on the relation between Marxism and the development of Marxism, and that between the studies and the practices, and that between politics and academics, and that between the general and the special, and that between the absorption and the innovation, and that between the quantity and the quality, and that between the scientific ways and diveristy in methodology, and that between the basic research and the applied one, and that between the localization and internationalization, and so on. In the political research and academic development in China, the political development can be promoted only if these relationships can be well recognized and dialectically grasped. |
