| Since the reform and opening-up, on the basis of summing up the past practical experience and the lessons of history, the Chinese administrative system has adapted to the transformation from a planned economy to a socialist market economy, and the positive progress has been made in terms of the government institutional reform, the transformation of government functions, the law and institutional construction of administration according to law and the innovation of means of administrative management. However, the current administrative reforms in China still face many challenges, and many problems that cannot be ignored remain existing in terms of the direction of reform, the target model and the specific content, including issues such as the academic and theoretical aspect, the target model of administrative system reform and the transformation of government functions, which should be further addressed and consummated, so as to improve China’s administrative structure and all-rounded economic and social development. |
